The perfect cocktail for any mint lover. Vanilla vodka is shaken with ice, peppermint schnapps and single cream, then served in a minty rimmed glass and a candy cane.

IngredientsServes: 1

  • 1 candy cane finely crushed
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla vodka
  • 2 tablespoons peppermint schnapps
  • 2 tablespoons single cream
  • 1 small candy cane

MethodPrep:5min ›Ready in:5min

  1. Wet the rim of a chilled martini glass with water and dip into the crushed candy cane. Pour the vodka, schnapps and single cream into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover and shake until the outside of the shaker has frosted. Strain into the rimmed martini glass and garnish with candy cane to serve.

Ingredients

Candy canes can be purchased in speciality shops around Christmastime or online. Alternatively, you could use crushed hard mints and omit the candy cane garnish.

I made one according to the recipe, only leaving out the crushed peppermint candy cane as I didn't have one. Very peppermint-y. The next one I added in 1 oz. of chocolate liqueur. Even better. I like it both ways. Very creamy and very rich tasting.-16 Oct 2008
