Cooking porridge from pumpkin:

Step 1: select and prepare the pumpkin.

First of all, in order for the porridge to turn out to be really healthy, tasty and aromatic, you need to choose the right pumpkin! It should be ripe, thick-walled with a pulp of orange or dark yellow. It is desirable that the thickness of the pulp was not less 5 to 6 centimeters. We get a piece of pumpkin we like, cut a thin layer of peel from it with a knife, remove seeds with a tablespoon and wash the vegetable under cold running water from any kind of pollution. After we dry the pumpkin with paper kitchen towels from excess moisture, put on a cutting board and cut into cubes with an approximate diameter of up to 1.5 - 2 centimeters. We shift the slices into a deep plate.

Step 2: select and prepare milk.

To make a truly healthy porridge, you should take real homemade cow or goat milk and boil it first. But if the house does not have such a dairy product, you can use ordinary whole, pasteurized milk, but not less 3, 5% fat, so that the porridge is rich and satisfying. Pour the milk into a saucepan, put the container on a stove included in the medium level, bring the liquid to a boil and immediately after that we lower the pumpkin cubes into it.

Step 3: cook the pumpkin.

Now, so that the porridge is not fresh and has several flavoring shades, add salt, sugar and 1/3 teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the pan to taste. We fasten the temperature of the plate to a level between small and medium. Cook the pumpkin for 20 - 25 minutes or until the cubes of the vegetable break up into fibers. Periodically stir the mass in a saucepan with a wooden kitchen spatula so that the vegetable does not stick to the bottom of the container.

Step 4: bring the dish to full readiness.

When the texture of the vegetable becomes soft and boiled, we act as desired, which means you can crush the boiled pumpkin with a potato napkin as indicated in the recipe, grind the pumpkin mass in a blender or leave the almost finished porridge as it is. After grinding, boil the pumpkin porridge for another 2 - 3 minutes, lay out in 2 deep plates and add butter to each to taste.

Step 5: serve the pumpkin porridge.

Pumpkin porridge is served hot seasoned with butter, homemade cream or sour cream. If desired, porridge can be supplemented with honey, chopped dried fruits, fresh fruits or berries. This dish is pleasant to relish along with rich air buns for a cup of sweet brewed fresh tea. Or with a glass of natural juice of any kind, for example with carrot, orange or apple juice.
