Ingredients for making a pie with broccoli and mushrooms.

For the test we need:

  1. Butter 100 gr.
  2. Chicken egg 1 pc.
  3. Premium wheat flour 1.5 cups

For the filling we need:

  1. Broccoli 1 head (or frozen - 500 gr.)
  2. Fresh champignons 600 gr. (or frozen - 400 gr.)
  3. Onion 2 pcs.
  4. Butter 50 gr.
  5. Vegetable oil 2 tbsp. spoons
  6. Salt to taste

To fill we need:

  1. Cream (25% fat) 300 ml.
  2. Hard cheese 150 gr.
  3. Chicken eggs 3 pcs.
  4. Premium wheat flour 1 tbsp. spoon with a slide

Making a pie with broccoli and mushrooms:

Step 1: Preparing the dough for the pie.

In a bowl, mix 100 grams softened butter, 1 egg and 1.5 cups previously sifted wheat flour. Mix everything thoroughly and knead the tender dough. Next, roll it into a ball and wrap it in cling film. We remove the dough in the refrigerator in this form for 40 minutes. Then we take it out and distribute it along the bottom and walls of the mold so that the dough evenly covers the entire surface of the mold. Next, pierce the dough with a fork in different places. Preheat the oven to a temperature 180 degreesthen we send the form with the dough to the roasting pan for 10 minutes. After the set time has passed, remove the mold from the oven and let the cake cool thoroughly at room temperature, without removing it from the mold.

Step 2: Prepare the filling.

The filling of the pie consists of two layers: mushroom and cabbage. Therefore, we prepare them separately. If you use raw cabbage, then initially broccoli must be washed in water and divided into small inflorescences. We collect water in a pot and put it on medium heat. When the liquid boils, add a pinch of salt into it and add the cabbage inflorescences to boiling water. Cook them 7-10 minutes over moderate heat, after which we recline in a colander and let the liquid drain well. If you use frozen broccoli, then they also need to be boiled in salted water, but for 2-3 minutes. Next, clean the bulbs, wash them in water and cut into half rings. Mushrooms are cleaned from a thin film covering its hat. To do this, we hook it with a small knife at the base of the cap at the junction with the leg and pull, thus removing from the entire surface of the mushroom. Next, the mushrooms are well washed in water and cut into thin plates. Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan and fry the onions until golden brown, stirring occasionallyso that it does not burn. Add mushrooms and mix the ingredients. Champignons will immediately begin to produce juice. It is necessary to fry the mushrooms until all the juice has boiled away. It takes time 5-7 minutes.

Step 3: Form and bake the cake.

On the cooled cake lay out uniform layer mushroom filling and then broccoli. Rub the cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle them abundantly over the entire surface of the pie. After that, in a deep container, mix the eggs, cream and flour. Salt and pepper the mass to taste, after which this liquid is poured throughout the cake. Preheat the oven to a temperature 180 degrees, and the finished pie is sent to it for about 40 minutes. The finished product should lighten and exude a pleasant aroma.

Step 4: Serve the pie with broccoli and mushrooms.

Cool the finished cake completely, then cut it into portioned pieces and serve it on the table for tea or as an original snack for the main dishes. Good appetite!

Recipe Tips:

- - If you do not really like broccoli or you don’t have them at hand right now, then you can use cauliflower to make a pie. It is prepared in the same way. You can also make a filling of assorted several types of cabbage.

- - In the filling for the pie, you can optionally add a few tablespoons of broth powder. Thus, the cake will be even more fragrant. But keep in mind that in this case no additional salt will be needed for filling, since concentrated broth powders already usually contain salt in their structure.
